Welcome to "Types of Fractions" with Teacher Harvy! Need help with the different types of fractions? You're in the right place! Whether you're just starting out, or need a quick refresher, this is the video for you if you're looking for help with fractions. Teacher Harvy will go through fraction examples and explain what the different kinds of fractions are.

In Maths, there are four major types of fractions. They are unit fractions, proper fractions, improper fractions and mixed fractions. Fractions are those terms which have numerator and denominator. Based on these two terms we define its types.

Fractions are the terms used to determine the parts of a whole object. For example, a pizza is divided into four pieces, so each piece of it is represented as 1/4th of the pizza. Here 1 is the numerator and 4 is the denominator.
